2016 Toyota Tacoma Limited 4X4 Double Cab

With the changing of the season, my 4-year-old son has wrapped up his soccer days and has moved to a career in T-ball. I am enjoying the Little League experience: double-headers at the ballpark, hotdogs, snow cones, peanuts and the smell of fresh-cut grass. Baseball is the classic sport, and there is no vehicle more fitting for a stint in baseball than a bright blue 2016 Toyota Tacoma Limited 4X4 Double Cab.

Since Berrett was graced with the number 9 jersey this year, here are 9 reasons to love this Toyota Tacoma:

1 – The Blazing Blue Pearl exterior paint color of this Toyota Tacoma matches the blue of my son’s T-ball team, the Cheetahs. It seems fitting since both will blaze past their completion with bold moves and exceptional performance. With a 3.5L V6 Atkinson cycle with dual VVT, 276 hp @ 6000rpm and 265 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm it might not be as fast as a Cheetah but definitely impressive.

2 – The Toyota Tacoma has an optional V6 tow package for $6,500 that would perfectly lug a trailer fitting for the annual 4th of July parade. Just in time for the end of the T-Ball season, the Cheetahs could sport their uniforms and trophies for the parade since their similar performance to the Tacoma will also result in a championship win.

3 – The 18 city/23 highway mpg is competitive for a truck. With an average of 20 mpg, the Toyota Tacoma is the perfect vehicle for travelling to all the away games.

4 – When parking the car at a baseball game or trying to leave, you would be amazed at how many children run ahead of their parents in a parking lot. I am guilty of letting this happen once of twice. That is why the number 4 reason to love the Toyota Tacoma is the rear backup camera and rear parking sonar along with the blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert. This allows you to arrive and leave crowded areas with a sense of security.

We can easily through in his baseball bag with helmet, glove, bat, water and hat. Luckily, we can even fit the cooler for snacks when it is my turn as snack mom since bringing snacks nowadays requires a 5-course meal.

6 – The Cheetahs are almost always called safe, so it is fitting the Toyota Tacoma has the Star Safety System. With vehicle stability control, traction control, ABS, electronic brake force distribution, brake assist and smart stop technology, the safety of the Tacoma is a nonnegotiable reason to love this truck. We would love our little Cheetahs whether they were called safe or out.

7 – Sometimes we have a break between a double-header on a Saturday, and the 2016 Toyota Tacoma easily provides another reason to love it. With the 5′ composite bed with 120 V power outlet, we fit 9 little leaguers in the back and set up a movie.

8 – Luxuries like power moonroof and the leather trim seats and steering wheel all make for the 8th reason to love the Toyota Tacoma. It’s comfortable and easy to keep clean – unless you have a coalition of Cheetahs with dirty cleats.

9 – The MSRP of $37,820 makes the Toyota Tacoma an affordable truck. Since Berrett might not become a famous MLB player, I have to save money where I can.
