I am still test-driving cars for manufacturers. They are delivered to my home smelling like Clorox, the drivers are wearing gloves and all my paperwork is signed via email. They leave the keys under my doormat (in plastic wrap) and take the keys from my last vehicle in an envelope (which I have sanitized myself).
The price of gas keeps dropping, as less and less people are driving their vehicles to work, school, gyms, stores and visiting family. However, cars and trucks need to be repaired and cared for especially our health care angels and first responders. Manufacturers are helping present car owners with deferred payments and if you need or want a new car some have 0 down and one year before payments start. Most dealers are picking up your vehicles at your home or business, getting it repaired and delivering back to you at no extra charge.
Like most businesses, the automotive industry has a long road back to recovery, but we’ve done it before, and we can do it again. I see what manufacturers are doing to help their employees and the country… both with financial aid and adjusting their factories to make ventilators and masks or whatever our country needs.
